For what purposes we use your information?
The personal data provided is used in accordance with the Mexican Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, to provide the information and/or intermediation services you request, to know your needs, inform you of changes, address clarifications, and evaluate the quality of service we provide. You may express your prior refusal for the use of your personal data for these purposes.
The personal information we collect from you, will be used for the following purposes which are necessary according to the service requested: to verify and confirm identity, to continue to provide the service requested, to submit for banking services and products and legal and Notary services requested or contracted with our assistance, and to comply with the obligations contained in the Mexican Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Transactions with Resources of Illicit Origen.
What personal information about you do we collect and use?
Depending on the service you request and the personal data you choose to provide to RE/MAX Colonial, to carry out the purposes described in this privacy notice, we will use the following information and/or copies of personal documents, and of legal representatives in their cases: email address, phone number(s), full name; date of birth; city and country of birth; residence address; office address if applicable; nationality; official identification: IFE voter credential issued by the Federal Electoral Institute, now recognized as INE National Electoral Institute, or passport, or in case of being a foreigner: passport, valid driver’s license or other proof of residence address, and proof of legal visitor or immigration status in Mexico; RFC (Mexican Federal Tax Registration) and/or Social Security or other taxpayer identification number if applicable; CURP (Mexican Unique Population Registry Code) if applicable; occupation; marital status; matrimonial property ownership status; business charter documents if applicable; divorce decree if applicable; marriage certificate if applicable; birth certificate of spouse if applicable; name and address and proof of same in case of a recipient beneficial owner or controller; bank details; and regarding property subject to the service request: photos of the property, property details including type, measurements and full postal address; deed of the property; certificate of public record; copy of Property Tax receipt; current assessed tax value; certificate of release of lien; mortgage statement, and water bills and/or light and/or telephone number bills when applicable. In the case of transactions subject to the Mexican Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Transactions with Resources of Illicit Origen the period of conservation of the required data and copies of personal documents in compliance with said Law shall be five years.
With whom do we share your information and for what purposes?
For the aforementioned purposes, we inform you that the data can be transferred and processed inside and outside the country, by people, companies, organizations and authorities other than us. In this sense, your information may be shared with people who are or might be counterparties to offers and/or contracts and/or agreements related to the information and/or intermediation services you request, and likewise, with real estate professionals and people and companies and their representatives who are responding to your request and/or who may be parties to and/or be involved in working on your requested services and, when appropriate, with financial service providers and Notaries and lawyers whose services you request or contract and/or to carry out the corresponding procedures, as the case may be, who will be obliged to safeguard and use the information in the terms and requirements stipulated in the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. If you do not express your opposition for your personal data to be transferred, it will be understood that you have given your consent for it.
How you can access, correct or delete your personal data or object to its use?
You are entitled to know what personal data we hold about you, and the conditions of why and how we use it (Access). Also, it is your right to request correction of your personal information if it is outdated, inaccurate or incomplete (Revision); to remove it from our records or databases when you consider that it is not being used according to the principles, duties and obligations under the law (Cancellation); and to oppose the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition). These rights are known as ARCO rights.
To exercise any of the ARCO rights, you must file an application in writing to email:

In the event that such application is made, it will be answered within no more than ten working days from receipt of such request, which must have an email or physical address in order to permit a response.
How can you revoke your consent to use your personal data?
You can revoke consent, if any, that you have given us with regard to your personal information. However, it is important to note that not in all cases can your request be accommodated immediately, since it is possible that for some legal obligation we are required to continue conserving your personal information. You also have to consider that for some purposes, the revocation of your consent will mean that we cannot continue to provide the service you have requested, or conclude the purpose of your relationship with us.
