Tiquicia Hit Radio is an online radio station in Costa Rica. The owner, Brian Burns, is a retired Top 40 DJ from the US. His goal is to make top 40 music readily and easily available online to the younger demographic in Costa Rica.
After learning more about Brian’s goals for the radio station, we knew the website needed to reflect a hip, young vibe that would appeal to the younger, “Top 40” listeners in Costa Rica. People who frequent this site need to instantly connect with the images, while understanding quickly what to do to access the music. The website is built on a responsive platform, so can be viewed conveniently on any size screen or device.
The website is simple, with several images that load randomly when the website is loaded. The simplicity makes it clear that the website is a vehicle for one thing: listening to music. The “About Us” is one paragraph just below the main image. Connecting to social media is straightforward, and sits next to an open invitation to communicate with the DJ anytime.
